Had an amazing past few hours with Ricky, Mike, and Paul... Some of my Elmwood Productions family. We were shooting some of the last bits for the "Risley Brothers" series, then we just sat and chatted and laughed, ALOT...
And now I'm on my couch reflecting....
Mike mentioned as the nite was winding down, that life is better because of his involvement with Elmwood.
And it got me thinking....
Life IS better.
Ten years ago I had no idea where Elmwood, or my life would be, would be. And at that time, as my life was is turmoil, I decided that Elmwood would be my home base, my rock. It was going to be something I would be proud of no matter what else was going on in life. I wanted to make sure every project with the "Elmwood Productions" name on it reflected me and the direction I wanted to go in creatively.
And while I have made compromises to get there I am as proud as I can be in all we have done in the past decade. And in the past decade not only has my life gotten better in ways I could not have imagined, but Elmwood Productions has gone above and beyond my dreams.
I'm honestly amazed at all WE have done. And how far we have come.
I have no idea who will see and read this post to be honest. But I am proud. And happy. We have done good. And the crew we have is something of dreams. Holy cow I am a lucky man. I'm grateful and thankful to all of you who have been a part of this for the past decade.
And the last year.... What a year!!! This crew has been amazing.... I love how we have risen up and done something special. Something that will make people laugh, and maybe think. I am lucky to call you all my friends.
Can't wait to share this new show with all of you. And can't wait to work on the next project with these amazing people....
There isn't a way to verbalize how lucky I am and how thankful I am for all I have and all we have done....
So I will just end it with a simple, and honest and true... THANK YOU.
